Easy Cookie Recipe for Babies -Nutritionist Mom Approved

Updated: Jan 26

baby cookies, 5 ingredient

As a busy mom of twins, I’m all about practical recipes that check all the boxes: quick, nourishing, and baby-approved. 🍽️ Let’s be real—some days, time just isn’t on our side, no matter how much we plan ahead. While I do my best to avoid packaged snacks, there are moments when having something homemade and convenient is a lifesaver.

That’s why I love this baby cookies recipe I’m sharing with you today. ❤️ It’s simple, wholesome, and perfect for little ones. With just 3 to 6 ingredients, you can whip these up in no time. ⏳ They’re sugar-free, packed with nutrients, and best of all, you can freeze them for those on-the-go moments when you need a snack in a pinch. ❄️

These snacks are soft and chewy—perfect for babies who are still mastering their bites. 😍 Plus, knowing exactly what’s in them gives me so much peace of mind. Whether it’s a quick breakfast addition, an afternoon pick-me-up, or something to keep my little ones happy during errands, this recipe has become a staple in our home.

Here’s the recipe—I can’t wait to hear how your little ones enjoy these as much as mine do! 🙌

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 1 cup rolled oats divided: 1/2 cup oat flour (you can ground rolled oats to make the flour) and 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup natural almond butter

  • 1/2 cup grated carrots

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional but recommended)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients.

  • Prep a cookie sheet by either lining with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.

  • Scoop the batter (I use about a tablespoon to make the cookies).

  • I usually get about 23 - 25 cookies.

  • Bake for 12 minutes.

  • Cool on a wire rack.

NOTE 1: They won't change shape during cooking so be sure to form into the shape you want them.

NOTE 2: You can make them as simple as you want with the core ingredients: oats and banana.

NOTE 3: If you're not gonna use them all within the first 5 days, I would recommend freezing them in a ziplock bag so they stay fresh!
